NIST Drafts Guidelines for Coping with Ransomware – February 8, 2020 –

Great article posted by HealthcareInfoSecurity Enews <enews@healthcareinfosecurity.com> – regarding two draft guidelines released by NIST for discussion and comment on coping with ransomware.  I highly recommend reviewing this article and the referenced draft guidelines from NIST as this is one of the biggest threats to the integrity and availability of ePHI that exists today!

Please reach out to Cyber Trust Alliance for help making sense of this guidance and how to apply it in your organization.

The article has links to the proposed guidance, a framework and policies and procedures for prevention, education and addressing and remediating post event.
